Car & Truck Accidents

Experienced & Helpful Accident Attorneys

Managing Partner Scott Robertson began his legal career in 1993 representing several auto insurance companies regarding car and truck accident cases and injury claims. Around that time, Paralegal David Graybill began his long tenure as a claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance Company. This past experience is invaluable to our clients. We know how insurance companies evaluate cases, what factors they do and don’t consider, mistakes that can ruin a legitimate insurance claim and many, many other factors – we know how insurance companies think when it comes to auto and truck accidents.

Accident claims in Maryland can be especially tricky, as Maryland is one of only four states that still recognizes the Old English law of Contributory Negligence (Virginia is one of the others). Under that doctrine, if you are even just 1% at fault, you lose the case. If you give statements to an insurance adjuster, you could inadvertently say something that the insurance company takes out of context to find you contributorily negligent and deny your case altogether – even if the other party is clearly at fault.

As such, we recommend that you call us as soon as possible after being injured in a truck or car accident. We will ensure that all aspects of the claim are handled timely and properly, with a lot less stress for you. We want you to be able to focus on your medical recovery, not figuring out the pitfalls of insurance claims.
